Welcome
to Clever Fox Enrichment and Tutoring
My name is Corrine Norton and I've been teaching for nearly 25 years.
About ten years ago, I discovered the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading. I could not believe the difference it made in students' lives. I opened Clever Fox Enrichment and Tutoring in November of 202, to provide children quality reading instruction that produces incredible results.
I offer high-quality, intensive, one-to-one tutoring as well as small group reading instruction, and classes that are engaging and fun for all learners. My approach is positive and encouraging and methods are effective!

"We couldn't be more grateful for all of Corrine's time, energy and expertise which has truly changed the trajectory of our daughter's life. With her unwavering guidance and support, our daughter has gone from having a hard time recognizing even all the letters in the alphabet and their sounds to reading chapter books in just 5 short months! Naturally, her newly acquired reading skills have also boosted her confidence tremendously which has carried over to all aspects of her life. There's not enough words to express our gratitude and we HIGHLY recommend her as your son or daughter's tutor no matter where they are at on their journey!"

It is with genuine appreciation and confidence that I recommend Corrine. She has worked closely with my son, who is on the autism spectrum and faces several learning challenges, and has been nothing short of extraordinary in her approach.
From the beginning, Corrine took the time to truly understand Jake; his needs, his learning style, and his unique way of engaging with the world. She thoughtfully differentiated her teaching, creating a program tailored specifically to support him where he was, while consistently encouraging his growth. She approached every session with patience, respect, and an unwavering belief in his potential.
Perhaps most importantly, she looked past the surface, past his stims and the oral tics he uses while reading, and focused on who he is and what he’s capable of. Her ability to connect with him and support his learning in such a compassionate, individualized way has made a lasting difference in his academic progress and his confidence.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had her as a part of his learning journey.

"Corrine helped my 5th grade son build confidence in reading. Her personalized , caring approach is just what he needed . She taught him techniques to sounding out words, syllables and vowel teams and helped him practice spelling. Reading is now more of a pleasure than a chore. Corrine is a great communicator with me about what skills he is working on and his progress . She is one his biggest cheerleaders along with his parents. It has made a world of a difference. Thanks for all you do."

The Approach
What is Orton-Gillingham?
Orton–Gillingham (aka OG) is a teaching approach that was designed to help struggling readers. It explicitly teaches the connections between letters and sounds. As a student progresses, we work on word prefixes and suffixes, spelling strategies, and grammar and writing.
As a tutor, I will assess your student to see where he or she is performing, so that I can identify the best place to begin instruction. Clients tend to notice growth within a few weeks of beginning instruction.
